It always seems that in the NFL draft the best QB’s from the college football year end up going late in the draft. For example last year Tim Tebow possibly the best college quarterback all time went late in the first round. What gets me mad is when they do the mock drafts on ESPN. Last year ESPN draft expert, Todd McShay said that Tim Tebow would not be a starter in the NFL for at least 2 years. Tebow proved him wrong by taking over the starting position in week 15′s match up against the Oakland Raiders.

This year in the draft their saying that Cam Newton is a risk to draft. That is one of the other things they said about Tim Tebow. Will Cam Newton have the same outcome that Tim Tebow had?

In this picture I am (white) fighting on the boards for the puck. The reason I like it so much is because all the snow at our feet from stopping. In the photo it also shows that squirt hockey can still be physical even though you can’t check. This photo was probably taken late in the third period looking at how chopped up the ice is. Even though the picture is nice that doesn’t mean the game was close. Unfortunately, we lost 7-1.

This picture is of one of the many baseball fields I played on this summer. The picture was probably taken at 8:30 or so at night. The reason I like it so much is because all you can see is the field and the players on it. With the lights shining at the field it almost seems that the field is the only thing there. That field became very comfortable for my team, we only lost once on the way to winning the district championship.

Will They Make It?

Last night the Uconn women’s basketball team tried to advance their winning streak to 80. 78 of Uconns 80 straight wins have been by double digits. Last nights game over Baylor was decided by a single point. Two of UConn’s key players to defend Baylor’s best player, Brittney Griner fouled out. But somehow they still won. UConn needs to win 8 straight games to tie the record held by the UCLA Bruins in the 1970′s. If Uconn will break the record of 88 games they will need to beat, Georgia Tech, Howard, South Florida, Sacred Heart, Marquette, Florida State, Pasific , and Stanford. Do you think the Uconn women’s basketball team will tie the record or break the record?

Summer All Star Baseball

Over the summer I played on the Stratham 10 year old all star team. The year before this one we won only one game all year so this year we wanted to win more games. About a week before we really started to play our games we
scrimmaged a team and won 14-1. Then the season began in a warm up tournament to Districts. We didn’t do very good, we only won a game in that tournament. Knowing the district tournament was right around the corner we wanted to pull some upsets with the main upset being beating Dover.

They were the team to beat at the time and we had to play them first. Dover had beat us the week prior due to the mercy rule. To beat them would be a huge upset. The game came we were surprised to be tied 2-2 in the third. From that point on we thought we could win the game. The game went on scoreless until we hit extra innings when dover scored a run to make it 3-2. We never came back to tie it up. We lost 3-2 in the opener.

The next game against Oyster River was not much different than the Dover game except we won in extra inning, 8-7. Next the next game was against the team we had beat 14-1. This time we won 8-1.

Next, was against Seacoast which we won 6-1 to go to the semi-finals against Barrington. We were down two runs in the sixth inning when I was up and it was a full count with the bases loaded and two outs. It was truly do or die.Get out and it’s over. Get a hit and we may tie or win the ball game. I got the hit that very next pitch. Two runs scored to make it 5-5.

In the 8th inning our lead off batter hit the ball down the right field line. The right fieder dove and missed. By the time our hitter was on his way to third the right fielder was getting up to get the ball. His throw home was late, we won 6-5! The next game is the finals.

These games were huge because no team from Stratham has ever won a district title. Since we lost already in the tournament and Dover hadn’t we had to beat them twice.

Now to the games. In game 1 the score was 6-4. The second one was a whole different story. Game 2 was like home run derby with out a home run. The first inning we scored 1 but Dover put 2 on the board to make it 2-1. We rallied with seven hits and 11 runs to make it 12-2 in the second inning. In the top of the third we rallied for five more runs. Even though Dover added 5 runs to the mix, we came right back with four more to top that inning.

In the bottom of the fourth Dover had people on first and third with two outs and us on top 21-10. With the count at 1-2… STRIKE 3! Because we were up by more than 10 after 4 innings, the game was over and we won the district 7 championship!

No more game 7

It seems like when ever there is a game 7 with a Boston sport they lose. So all the celtics need to do next year is don’t play in a game 7. As well for the Red Sox and Bruins. Although the red sox are so good when they get to the world series it won’t even matter. Boston has been hammered when it comes to the game 7. Hopefully this winter sport teams are just not lucky. Hey atleast the Red Sox suffered like the C’s and Bruins. Will a Boston team Diliver this year?Do you think a Boston team will win this year if yes what team?

Tonight is game seven of what some people say is the biggest rivalry in sports. Tonight is going to be the best game of the entire season. The Celtics have won 11 out of 11 championship series when they have lead in the series 3-2. Although the home team has won 13-16 of game sevens. So we will find out who will win in about 13 hours. Right now all I want is to wake up tomorrow and know that Boston has conquered another championship and not the Lakers. So who do you think will win the championship?

Too Much Danger or Not

As you probably already know Nascar racing has been violent at times. From cars going 200 mph, even if you hit the littlest thing your car could can lose control. Really this sport is very dangerous with the way it is now. We have seen fires and cars crashes all these years and nobody has made it safer. To tell you the truth I don’t know much about Nascar racing and so I’m asking you to comment about how could they make Nascar racing safer.

Rajon Rondo

In Sunday’s game between the Celtics and Cavaliers Rajon Rondo played the best game I have ever seen him play. He had 29 points, 12 Assist , and 13 rebounds. He was so good that Lebron James this year’s MVP asked the Cavs coach if he needed him to guard Rondo in Tuesday’s game. There was one stand out play in that game when Rondo went up for the layup and then did a behind the back pass to Tony Allen for the dunk. I think that if Rondo keeps up this style of play the Celtics will beat the Cavs and win the Championship. How far do you think the Celtics will go in the playoffs after that game?
